Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I miss all of you back home.

Seven of us + PCV Mary from the Coast + Aggrey celebrated thanksgiving at the ABC Guesthouse in a room that we rented for the night. We tried cooking as close to an American thanksgiving as possible. On the menu, there was gnocchi with a tomato/garlic sauce (gnocchi was an uber failure on my part), sweet potato casserole, green beans, apple crisp, avocado salad, corn bread, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie.

We even went out and got ourselves some wine. Much needed wine. Loosened most of us up and I talked to some Kenyan deaf people for about 2 hours on the differences between Kenya and America. They were just as shocked to see some of the things I said as they were to taste some of the food we cooked. A massive difference from ugali, that’s for sure.

Am a bit affected by the grape juice, still, so I’m going to cut this short. All in all, thanksgiving was great. My only wish is that some of you could have been here.
