I’ve finally gotten time to get into an internet cafe here in Machakos. Wow is all I can say for now for all I have been through so far. I do not think I have ever been this time-constrained in  my life. We do so much  day in day out. I normally go to sleep at 10, exhausted. I wake up at 6am and bathe from a bucket, which is not all that bad as I imagined it to be. You would be amazed how clean one can get from such little water. I respect the natives for coping with such a limited supply of water but how they handle their trash is just unbelievable to me as an environmentalist. I walk 15-20 minutes to a fellow PC Trainee’s house for Kenyan Sign Language training until about 1030 or 12 depending on the day. I have a 2 hour lunch break, which flies by like they were literally seconds. Samosas are all I eat here because they are the best! I have become a vegetarian again due to the texture and flavor of the meat and because of how the animals are treated. I go to classes\sessions again all the way until 5 o clock. That s when I start trekking back home again. Occasionally, I take the cows home with me! Who would have thunk – Josh, the cow herder. HA!  I help out with the dinner preparations and we have dinner at around 8. I start the day all over again the next day.

More to come.
